Self R.E.S.P.E.C.T

Good evening Badasses!

Let’s talk about self respect. 2017 is here and already zipping by so make the decision today to make self respect a priority.

Without self respect you can find yourself being used, you can find it harder to walk away from things that don’t work for you anymore and it’s easier to believe that voice that tries to trick you into thinking you don’t deserve better. You do!

A Badass respects themselves and is at ease when it comes to expressing themselves. It’s something you’ll have to work  at and there will always be someone who doubts your decisions but this does not make you wrong. Respecting yourself is a cornerstone of being a strong person and being a strong person means making the best decisions for you.

If you need some help with this whole respecting yourself thing let me help you out with some pointers:

  • Quit the negative self talk – we often say things to ourselves that we would never dream of ever saying to anyone else, so why do we verbally abuse ourselves this way? Because we can – but that doesn’t mean we should.
  • Decide right now that you are good enough. That you will never chase attention, never beg for forgiveness or love.
  • Know when to walk away from something that no longer serves you. This relates to all aspects of your life from jobs to friends. If the negatives outweigh the positives then it’s time to cut your losses.
  • Be honest with yourself – don’t bullshit yourself, don’t believe your own hype

A Badass knows their own self worth!
(Things to remember)

Don’t let anyone treat you with disrespect.

Nowhere is it written that you must respect anyone’s opinion. Acknowledge it? Sure, respect it? No. Some people talk utter nonsense and you are under no obligation to placate them with phony respect. Respect is earned.

Comparison is the thief of joy and you’re a Badass right? So why are you comparing yourself to anyone? Cut that shit out right now. You are only holding yourself back when you focus on other people’s success.

We all grow/build/create at different speeds. Be confident in your ability to achieve your goals, no matter how long the journey takes.

You got this!
